To connect to our services, we setup a secure link from your office to the Rainmaker Network.
The link is maintained by an Astaro Security Gateway, which also doubles as a firewall and Internet filter. Once in place, the Astaro creates a security barrier around your network to keep everything inside safe and secure.
The computers, printers, router and file server in your office are then connected to a 'domain' so we can look after things for you and better manage your network.
Rainmaker’s system is scaleable, so if you have 5 employees one week and 50 the next, we can meet your needs instantly by simply creating the accounts you require and connecting the services.
Each staff member is assigned an access account, which we attach services and permissions to. 
We tailor the services for each, so you’re only ever paying for the exact tools a particular employee needs.
User information is stored using Active Directory (AD) which is like a big (digital) phonebook. Within AD we also assign Group Policies, which are a set of rules that define things like file access on the server, how long to wait for your monitor to switch off at lunch or if a user has remote access to your network.
Authorised users can 'dial-in' to your office network from home or on the move, which lets them access files on your server, print documents remotely and work just like they were sitting at their desk.
