The original concept for the Rainmaker Network was hatched in early 2008. This was roughly 3 years before the buzz around ‘cloud computing’ had started.


At the time, the tools and applications required to create the Rainmaker Network were only available to large corporations with huge IT budgets.

Thankfully technology caught up and made our concept an affordable solution for all business types.

Rainmaker’s Chief Technical Officer has worked at the very highest levels of enterprise computing with top international firms like HP, designing and implementing multi-million dollar IT solutions for the Department of Defence, Australian Taxation Office, Department of Immigration, Centrelink and BHP. Drawing on experience like this we are able to deliver the finest enterprise-level solutions to small and medium business.

Centralising our services means when we upgrade we are upgrading a core set of dedicated servers. This flexibility makes Rainmaker better adapted to keeping systems up-to-date and secure; ensuring the Rainmaker Network remains a stable and reliable digital workplace.

A Considered Approach

We take a considered approach to the tools and applications available on our network. The latest innovations aren’t always the greatest, which is why we run new products through a comprehensive testing model to ensure that only the most reliable systems are deployed.

We also maintain a fully-fledged testing environment where we can trial new applications in parallel with the Rainmaker Network for real-life evaluation. Once we are completely satisfied with a new product, we will release it for general use. Our test environment also provides a space where we can test client-specific applications which can be evaluated before we publish them to your entire workforce.
